Day 1 Wednesday, Feb 13

Depart your Canadian gateway for your flight into Los Angeles, California. Upon arrival into Los Angeles, you will be met and transported to the hotel.

Day 2 Thursday, Feb 14

Enjoy a team breakfast at your hotel and depart via motor coach to the game venue. This afternoon, transportation provided to The Santa Monica Pier and take in the fun! Transportation will be provided back to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3 Friday, Feb 15

Enjoy a team breakfast at your hotel and depart via motor coach to your venue for your game. Afternoon / evening – UCLA experience (TBA based on schedule for 2018-2019 season and details will be confirmed fall of 2018).

Day 4 Saturday, Feb 16

Enjoy a team breakfast at your hotel and depart via motor coach for Your game. Afternoon / evening will be at your leisure to check out Disneyland or other area attractions.

Day 5 Sunday, Feb 17

Travel day home back to your Canadian gateway. Transportation will be provided back to the airport for your group departure.

The Map Sports Facility is a premier venue located in Orange County, CA that has 65,000 sq ft of court space available for any indoor activity. All our courts are raised floors made of second grade maple. Each court has 12 feet of commercial carpet between courts with plenty of seating and viewing space

  • $1999 Canadian funds per passenger (based on 12 athletes & coaches
Non-refundable deposit of $500.00 per player is required to hold the space & pricing for the trip.
  • Minimum of 12 paid deposits per team
  • Deposit Deadline September 30, 2018
The remaining 2 deposits:
  • 2nd Payment – $749.50 DUE November 7, 2018
  • Balance due – $749.50 DUE January 11, 2019

Passenger list is due January 11, 2019. After this date, name changes will incur a penalty.

Los Angeles

Los Angeles, also known as L.A., is not the most accessible of places like New York or Europe for tourists, but don’t be dismayed! It is a great city with a lot of hidden gems. The city of Los Angeles is quite large, but the broader concept of Los Angeles covers many areas ranging from the beach cities of Santa Monica and Venice to the neighborhood areas of Hollywood and Silverlake.

Anaheim

The Disneyland Resort is located in Anaheim, California. It is home to the original Disneyland Park, which opened on July 18, 1955, a favorite among visitors to Southern California from all over the world for well over half a century. It was joined in 2001 by a sister park, Disney California Adventure, which is a stylized recreation and celebration of California’s rich history and culture.

Santa Monica Pier

The Santa Monica Pier is a large double-jointed pier at the foot of Colorado Avenue in Santa Monica, California. With an iconic entrance, the pier is popular with residents and visitors as a landmark that is over 100 years old.

The pier contains Pacific Park, a family amusement park with its one-of-a-kind, state-of-the-art, solar panelled Ferris wheel.

It also has an original carousel hippodrome from the 1920s, the Santa Monica Pier Aquarium operated by Heal the Bay, shops, entertainers, a video arcade, a trapeze school, pubs, and restaurants. The pier’s west end is a popular location for anglers.

Venice Beach

Venice Beach, which receives millions of visitors a year, has been labeled as “a cultural hub known for its eccentricities” as well as a “global tourist destination.” It includes the promenade that runs parallel to the beach (also the “Ocean Front Walk” or just “the boardwalk”), Muscle Beach, the handball courts, the paddle tennis courts, Skate Dancing plaza, the numerous beach volleyball courts, the bike trail and the businesses on Ocean Front Walk.

The basketball courts in Venice are renowned across the country for their high level of streetball; numerous professional basketball players developed their games or have been recruited on these courts.

Huntington Beach

Huntington Beach is a seaside city in Orange County in Southern California. The city is named after American businessman Henry E. Huntington. The population was 189,992 during the 2010 census, making it the most populous beach city in Orange County and the seventh most populous city in the Los Angeles-Long Beach-Anaheim, CA Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its estimated 2014 population was 200,809. It is bordered by Bolsa Chica Basin State Marine Conservation Area on the west, the Pacific Ocean on the southwest, by Seal Beach on the northwest, by Westminster on the north, by Fountain Valley on the northeast, by Costa Mesa on the east, and by Newport Beach on the southeast.

The UCLA women’s volleyball program began its first year in 1965. Michael Sealy took over as head coach in 2011 and led the team to a national championship in his first season.

The UCLA men’s team won 19 NCAA titles, all under Al Scates, who coached the Bruins for 48 years. The Bruins also won 5 USVBA titles prior to the sport being sanctioned by the NCAA, two of these under Scates.
